In the first year students are given an introduction to the basic principles behind Steiner/Waldorf Education and Anthroposophy, the philosophy that informs it. In the second and third year the Steiner curriculum is studied in detail. Those students who continue on to become Class Teachers are expected to do several weeks of observation and teaching practice under the guidance of an experienced Class Teacher during their second and third year of training.
In addition to the study components of the training, there are also artistic courses in Eurythmy (a movement art), Creative Speech, Painting, Drawing. Modelling, Form Drawing and Story-telling. A balance of artistic activity and study is provided throughout the course.
The course fee is £1,600 for the academic year, payable by direct debits of £160 per month over 10 months. For more information about the course and for an application form, PLEASE CLICK ON THE RELATED DOCUMENTS IN THE BOX ON THE TOP RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THIS PAGE.
