Edinburgh Rudolf Steiner School

PCTA

The PCTA is a body of parents, carers and teachers who wish to contribute time and energy to the well being of the school

Among the special aspects of a Steiner school is the strong social environment that is provided by parents, carers and teachers working together to support the educational work. The PCTA wants to enhance this sense of community within the school, and to encourage open communication between parents, teachers, pupils and trustees, inspired by a shared understanding of the values underpinning Steiner-Waldorf education.
Examples of activities in which the PCTA may be involved include: Supporting new parents; organising social and fund-raising events; discussing issues of concern; acting as a channel of communication between parents and other members of the community; and many more.

Through the activities outlined above, the PCTA can make an active contribution to the life and work of the school.

All teachers, parents and carers of a child at the school are automatically members of the PCTA, and are warmly invited to attend meetings and become active members. Meetings take place about once every month during term time, as advertised in the Tuesday Notice.
