Winter Opening

During the current cold snap the school’s guiding policy will be to remain OPEN as normal. The school will be open at the start of term on Thursday 7th January. If conditions worsen during the following days, individual pupils who arrive at school but worry about being able to make it home in the afternoon may ask to go home. They should consult their teacher who will inform the office. The office will then contact parents to arrange transport. Similarly, parents who are worried about their children being able to get back home in the afternoon should contact the office. If the office staff receive information that bus services are to be suspended or significantly diverted, parents may also be contacted and arrangements may be made to send pupils home. In all circumstances the school office is the first and principal point of contact. Any changes to this policy will be posted on the website or communicated through the Tuesday Notice.
