Eco-schools bronze award for our school!

Our school has just been awarded the bronze eco-schools award. Having set up our eco-schools committee and carried out an environmental review of the school, we are now working really hard to make our school as green as possible. We have a full recycling system in the school, as well as composting of garden and food waste. We have improved bike parking, held annual second hand bike sales for the last 4 years and offered cycle proficiency training at school. Litter picking rotas have been set up by class 4 and are now working across the school. Next on our list is to reduce our energy use and carbon footprint - by improving insulation of our school buildings and running workshops and events to show how we can all take simple steps to reduce our energy use every day.
