Kings Play - 24th January

Please join us for our final Oberufer play in the School Hall on Tuesday 24th January. Performed by Class 12, the play is suitable for those in Class 6 and up (12 years and older).

The Kings Play is the last in the traditional series of three plays which were performed by ordinary people for hundreds of years in the small Austrian village of Oberufer. The plays have gradually evolved into a blend of folk humour and reverence and are now performed regularly across the world.

The first two plays were performed by the staff in December while the third is presented by Class 12 as a gift to the pupils in the years below them.  The Kings Play portrays the visit of three wise kings as well as the murderous attempts by Herod. Donations will be appreciated on the door on the evening.

A performance will also take place in the school on Wednesday 25th January at 2pm.
