Kindergarten to open its doors this Saturday 24th September

20 September 2011 in School News

This Saturday (24th September), the Kindergarten will be opening its doors to the public as part of Edinburgh's famous 'Doors Open' event.

Doors Open gives the public a chance to explore buildings of cultural or architectural significance across the city and we are delighted that our own Kindergarten has been chosen to take part.

Guests are invited from 10am - 4pm to learn more about how this unique building was, in large part, constructed by parents and pupils of the school. It was designed to express Steiner's educational philosophy by Wilfred Bohm who first observed the daily lives of the pupils and their teachers to ensure that it was wholly tailored to meet their needs.

Visitors of all ages are welcome. Children can enjoy craft activities, a puppet show and baking. The basketball court will also be open for anyone who wishes to test their shooting skills.

Visit www.cockburnassociation.org.uk for more information or to view the event brochure.
