MIDSUMMER / ST. JOHNS ASSEMBLY Friday 24th June at 12.20pm.
There will be a short assembly in the Hall on Friday 24th June to celebrate St. Johns’ Day, the longest day of the year. Class 2 will perform a short play about St. Francis and Class 5 will present some eurythmy. Parents and friends are warmly invited to attend. Afterwards, weather permitting; there will be a BBQ along with the usual Friday Market Stalls. Afternoon lessons and circus skills club will continue as normal.

11:00 am Presentation of Rhythmic Work followed by exhibition and coffee.
11:45 am Second Year performance Project “The Circle Turns” Stages of Woman.
(NB Not devised as a piece for children).
12:30 am Third Year Diploma presentation.
12:45 am Join students, families and friends for a buffet lunch.
THE FIVE PRINCESSES on Thursday 30th June at 7.30pm in the School Hall.
A soldier lies in a coma in a hospital bed. Meanwhile, out of his body he meets a strange woman who helps him in a series of tests laid on him by an angry king, to discover the secrets of his 5 daughters. One of these princesses touches the soldier’s heart. Will he manage to pass the tests and win his true love? The answer is not quite what you might think! Come and see Class 12’s play on Thursday 30th Jun at 7.30pm. Admission free, collection at the door.
WORK DAYS Thursday 7th – Friday 8th – Saturday 9th June.
The help of parents and pupils during the work days at the end of the summer term is always appreciated. Good food is provided and everyone enjoys themselves. Please do join even if only for a day.
If you are planning on coming please let the office know on which day you are coming, how many and if you are vegetarian. If you have not registered for lunch we cannot feed you.
KINDERGARTEN PARENTS – Please return library books by 30th June. Are you interested in helping run the Kindergarten Library? If so please contact Tariq or Sharon (in the kindergarten).
COMMUNITY GARDEN WORK DAY, Sunday 3rd July 2-5pm - Our next work day at the community garden will be the afternoon of Sun 3rd July. There's lots of salad, vegetables and fruit now ready for picking - so you'll be well rewarded! If you plan to come, please let Sonia know on soniatheilen@doctors.org.uk.
THE CREATIVE HOLIDAY WEEK for 5 – 12 years old will run from 18th – 22nd July in our school.
The creative Holiday Week, this year with the theme “Down on the Farm”, will be running from Monday 18th July till Friday 22nd July from 9am till 1pm. Costs £100 per child. Phone 337 3410 for a leaflet or pick one up from the office.
SUMMER CLUB places still available are 1st, 2nd, 3rd 4th, 12th 17th 18th 24th, 25th and 31st August. There are concession rates for siblings. Speak to Louise or Dawn. Forms to be completed and returned by 24th June. Louise/Dawn will confirm places with parents by 27th June.
Help create a new School Website - The school website is in the process of having a bit of a face lift. You can be part of this by participating in a short exercise that aims to understand how users of the website think about the content. The exercise can be found at http://bit.ly/iiyUJt where you will find instructions. If anyone has any questions regarding this please contact Kevin White (kevin@dewoollery.co.uk).
The Interview Room is to be refurbished this summer and new furnishings will replace the existing furniture. If anyone is interested in buying any of the existing items, please contact Carolyn Grohmann on 0131 443 5818 or leave a message for Astrid Maclean in the office and make us an offer. Money raised will go towards the costs of the refurbishment.
