THE JOINT MEADOW ORCHESTRA AND STEINER SCHOOL CONCERT
Please come and enjoy this exciting event which takes place at 7.30pm on Saturday 4th June in the School Hall. The programme includes pieces by Dvorak, Elgar, Mozart and Vivaldi. Donations at the door please.
AFTERSCHOOL CLUBS THIS TERM – Circus Skills for classes 3, 4 & 5 will run every Friday until the end of term.
There will be no other clubs until Mr Ritchie returns from Coburg on 20th June; he is away again on 23rd& 24th June.
SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHS - The class photograph proofs have been handed out to all pupils and to kindergarten who were present on the school photograph day. Please return the proof photographs you wish to order with payment and order form into the gold envelope (which came with your proof packs) to the school office by 8 June 2011. If you need extra proofs please let Mute in the office know.
Orders after 8 June 2011 will revert to the normal price structure and will be processed for collection next term. Please note, the special offer is not transferable across classes - the offer is only per class.
BOARDING FAMILIES NEEDED -We are currently looking for boarding families for the autumn term. If you have a spare room and are in a position to offer a place please contact Karin in the office on 337 3410. Thank you.
CAR BOOT SALE on Saturday 4th June 10am – 1pm, only two weeks to go.
If you haven’t already booked a car/table space contact Marcia Burgess on 441 9537 (rental to be paid on booking). Or come and browse and buy!! Or do both! De-clutter then take home some bargains! Refreshments on sale all morning. NB cars can enter at 8.30am and must be in position by 9.30am. Please support this fund-raising initiative!
An Invitation to Polwarth Big Lunch 2011
The school will be taking part in the 'Polwarth Big Lunch' on Sunday 5th June 2011 and hopes that pupils, parents and friends will be able to come along too. The event aims to bring together as many people as possible from across the area to have lunch, enjoy a range of family friendly activities and get to know their neighbours to help forge a stronger, friendlier community. Everyone who attends is requested to bring some food and / or drink to share with others. The event is being organised by Polwarth Church in partnership with several other community groups including the Flower Colonies Area Residents' Association. Local schools are particularly encouraged to get involved.
Where: Polwarth Church Gardens on the corner of Polwarth Terrace and Harrison Road. When: Sunday 5th June 2011. Time: 12.30 - 3pm. Bring: Your own food to share otherwise attendance is free.
What's On: There will be entertainment for all the family and an exhibition promoting local groups and services.
Please note that children under 16 must be supervised by an adult at all times. If the weather is inclement, the event will take place in Polwarth Church Halls

BURSARY FUND STALL NEWS
Raffle: Elaine Lambert won ice-cream Sundaes for 2 at the Beach House, Portobello; Rowena Gould won a box of exquisite, hand-made chocolates. Congratulations!
Book Rack: There is a selection of great second hand books, but no means to display them. Could anyone lend a bookstand? Total funds raised so far: £1,286.00. Thank you everyone!
