Mobile Phone Use - Parents and visitors are respectfully requested to refrain from using mobile phones while on school grounds.
 
AFTERSCHOOL CLUBS THIS TERM – The only club that will run normally for the rest of this term is Circus Skills on Friday afternoon 1.30 – 3pm. Ms Behzar and Mrs Mackay will run this club weekly from this Friday (27th May) until the end of term for classes 3, 4 and 5. The charge for this will be £25 per pupil. Permission forms will be handed out with this Tuesday Notice, or can be collected from the office, and should be returned with a cheque by this Friday.
Other clubs will run only when Mr Ritchie is here and there will be no charge, as he will be away for several weeks.
 
DINE OUT! Friday 27thMay – Class 7 to raise funds for their end of year trip to Devon.
You are invited to a DINNER PARTY! on Friday 27th May. Class 7 are hosting a fundraising dinner, with entertainment, to raise funds for their trip to Devon. There will be a delicious three course meal, with wine, cooked by Alan Dewar and Ian Wilson, class parents and professional chefs, and entertainment performed between courses by pupils of Class 7.
Reserve tables up to 8 people. Tickets, in advance only, before Wednesday 25th May, £15 per person (adults and children above Class 7/13 years only) are available from the school office, bursary stall at the Friday Market and directly from Jane Dewar. We are happy to cook for Vegetarians, Vegans and special diets. Please give details to Jane; for further information call Jane on 346 1263.
 
BOARDING FAMILIES NEEDED -We are currently looking for boarding families for the autumn term. If you have a spare room and are in a position to offer a place please contact Karin in the office on 337 3410. Thank you.
 
CAR BOOT SALE on Saturday 4th June 10am – 1pm, only two weeks to go.
We still have spaces available at the moment but please book your space as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. You will be supporting the Upper School Cultural trips, de-cluttering and making some money. Remember! You pay your rental and then keep all your profits! Car space £10, Table space £5. THE SCHOOL’S CLIMATE CHANGE MURAL
We are now looking for flowery/patterned material; navy blue material; nice green material; small pieces of silver material. Thank you, Reem.
 
Community Garden, Sunday 29th May, 2-5pm
Our next family work day at the Community Garden will be on Sunday 29th May - in the afternoon.   This year the top potato field is being extended to grow more root crops and there'll be more soft fruit, herbs and salad in the lower gardens than last year.  It's a lovely time of year to be in the gardens, with everything fresh and green.  Please do come along!  Sonia and Liz (soniatheilen@doctors.org.uk)

FUNDRAISING FOR ZAMBIA CEILIDH on Saturday 28th May 7pm – 11.30pm.
Francoise, Elodie, Brigitte, Cecile, Helene, Sylvie & Brigitte invite you to a Ceilidh to raise funds for their new venture in Zambia in June 2012.There will be food and drinks available for sale. To find out more about the charity visit http://www.thebookbus.org . PISHWANTON - Beholding the Heart of Nature 27th – 29th May - This will be the second weekend devoted to study of the plant kingdom.  Once again the programme will include a meditative observation in nature, textual study, individual and group artistic exercises, and practical work appropriate to the sign of Taurus.
Training Sessions on Lime Plaster and Painting 8th June – 11th June
Course in Traditional Lime Plaster and Lime Painting techniques working on the exterior of Pishwanton’s Cruck Barn and the interior of the Craft Workshop as practical examples of the craft. From 8th – 11th June 9.30 am to 4.30 pm.
Costs: £50 per day (for any number of days) a light lunch may be ordered for £10 or bring a packed lunch.
Tuition by Tim Meek (who recently worked on the Yester Kirk restoration project in Gifford, East Lothian).

EXCHANGE WANTED - My name is Magda Lena Marie Schanner (class 9) from the Waldorf School in Göttingen.
I would like to do a language-exchange in September with someone of your school for about 3months. We live on a small farm 15km from the school, in a little village called Erbsen. NEWTON’S ALTERATIONS at the Friday Market. I replace zips, take up trousers and fix, mend and alter most items of clothing. I also re-cover cushions and make up some soft furnishings & sew clothes for both adults and children. Oh, and I make “Steiner dolls” and knit socks! Quite a Jill-of-all-trades!
