FRIDAY MARKET STALL - Caroline's kindergarten class is having a fundraising stall at the Friday Market on Friday, the 6th of May. They will be selling savoury food and home baking.
PUPPET SHOW - At 1.30 there will again be a performance of 'The Free Range Puppeteers' production, 'Augustus and his smile', in Caroline's Kindergarten room. For those who missed it, or would like to see it again! Admission by donation. Please come and support our fundraising efforts!
KINDY WORKDAY Sat 7th May, 10am – 2pm. Parents are warmly invited to come and help keep kindergarten beautiful. Gardening, maintenance & clearing. Help much appreciated. Sign up sheets at Kindy from 1st May.

URGENTLY NEEDED - Backup invigilators to help with our exams
So far we only have had a handful of responses to our request for back up invigilators!

CAR BOOT SALE on Saturday 4th June 2011 – De-clutter, sell your unwanted items and make a profit!
We are fundraising for cultural trips for higher classes in German and history.
To book a car space (£10) or table space (£5) or rent a table (£3) contact Marcia Burgess via the school office or on 441 9537 asap. Hurry – spaces are limited! Keep an eye open for details of times and facilities (eg. Refreshments).
LOST PROPERTY – The lost property box is full. The PTA will have a stall at the Friday Market this Friday, 6th May. Come and reclaim what is yours!
DEAR PARENTS AND FRIENDS
The Meadows Chamber Orchestra is offering to give our school a performance of pieces by Vivaldi, Elgar, Mozart and Dvorak. In order to form a real working relationship with the community of the School they have also undertaken to accompany our school choirs in performing extracts from Vivaldi’s Gloria.
If you like singing, don’t miss this opportunity to participate in what promises to be an exciting and fulfilling occasion!
Rehearsal schedule: Monday 2nd May at 7.30pm, Tuesday 10th May at 7.30pm
Monday 16th May at 7.30pm, Tuesday 24th May at 7.30pm
Friday 3rd June at 7.30pm (with orchestra).
Saturday 4th June at 4pm (dress rehearsal), Saturday 4th June 7pm CONCERT.
We suggest a minimum attendance of 3 rehearsals not including the dress rehearsal. Iain Maclean

NEWTON’S ALTERATIONS is back at the Friday Market every week. I replace zips, take up trousers and fix, mend and alter most items of clothing. I also re-cover cushions and make up some soft furnishings & sew clothes for both adults and children. Oh, and I make “Steiner dolls” and knit socks! Quite a Jill-of-all-trades!
