EURYTHMY ON MONDAY MORNING - 9am for parents and friends of the school is on again.
PIZZAS: Please note there will be NO PIZZAS on Thursday 19th May. Service resumes on Thursday 26th May when the visiting class from Coburg will be making the pizzas.
DINE OUT! Friday 27th May – Class 7 to raise funds for their end of year trip to Devon.
You are invited to a DINNER PARTY! on Friday 27th May. Class 7 are hosting a fundraising dinner, with entertainment, to raise funds for their trip to Devon. There will be a delicious three course meal, with wine, cooked by Alan Dewar and Ian Wilson, class parents and professional chefs, and entertainment performed between courses by pupils of Class 7.
Reserve tables up to 8 people. Tickets , in advance only, before Wednesday 25th May, £15 per person (adults and children above Class 7/13 years only) are available from the school office, bursary stall at the Friday Market and directly from Jane Dewar. We are happy to cook for Vegetarians, Vegans and special diets. Please give details to Jane; for further information call Jane on 346 1263.
BOARDING FAMILIES NEEDED -We are currently looking for boarding families for the autumn term. If you have a spare room and are in a position to offer a place please contact Karin in the office on 337 3410. Thank you.
PHOTOS WANTED: Good copies of photographs from the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe wanted for the costume mistress; therefore good close-ups would be ideal. Will be willing to pay. Please contact the office or drop off. Thank you.
BOOKSTALL – Friday 20th May. Class 5 will be having a second-hand bookstall at the Friday Market on 20th May. Please come along and support it.
KINDERGARTEN STALL – at Friday 20th May. Margot’s kindergarten class is having a fundraising stall at the Friday Market, the 20th of May. They will be selling savoury food and home baking. Raffle tickets are now on sale for 50p each in Margot’s class and will also be on sale at the stall on Friday: the 1st prize is a reflexology treatment with Lorraine white and the 2nd prize is a £10 voucher to spend at Falko’s Café.
WANTED – Kindergarten are looking for an old chimney pot to house our hobby horses. If you have one we would be very grateful of your kind donation. Many thanks, Kindergarten.
Wet Felting Workshop (a fundraiser benefiting class 5): On Monday May 23 from 1:30-3:30 at school Saskia Gavin will be teaching interested adults and children (class 3 and up) how to wet felt. Workshop limited to 12 people and costs £10 (children in Class 3, 4, 5 will need an adult to accompany them). Please call Saskia 0795 229 4604 to sign up or ask questions.
CAR BOOT SALE on Saturday 4th June 2011
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to de-clutter and make some profit! Spaces are limited so you need to book now to secure your place. Rental is payable on booking and this will secure your pitch. Profits from rentals will help finance Class 12 cultural trips. To book a car space (£10) or table space (£5) or rent a table (£3) contact Marcia Burgess on 441 9537 or through the school office. Community Garden, Sunday 29th May, 2-5pm
Our next family work day at the Community Garden will be on Sunday 29th May - in the afternoon. This year the top potato field is being extended to grow more root crops and there'll be more soft fruit, herbs and salad in the lower gardens than last year. It's a lovely time of year to be in the gardens, with everything fresh and green. Please do come along! Sonia and Liz (soniatheilen@doctors.org.uk)
