Bike Sale This Weekend!

The Edinburgh Steiner School will be hosting its fifth annual bike sale on Saturday 2nd April from 9.30am - 12.30pm in the School Hall. This is a great opportunity to purchase an adult or child bike, trike or scooter as well as bike seats, tag-a-longs and other accessories.

Whether you are buying or selling, we hope you can come along and support this important initiative.  Sellers are requested to drop off betweem 8.30am – 9.30am on Saturday.  20% of the profits raised will go into the school funds!  

Earlier this year, we celebrated topping a survey about pupils who cycle to school. The annual “Hands up Scotland” school travel survey has been carried out across all Scottish local authorities since 2008.

Our school topped the poll of 148 primary and secondary schools in the city after demonstrating that at least 15% of our pupils regularly cycle to school.

We have introduced a number of initiatives to reduce unnecessary car use, encourage healthy and sustainable travel options and increase safety for pupils who are travelling to and from school. For more information, please see the School Travel Plan which is available from the School Office.
