RUDOLF STEINER’S 150 BIRTHDAY ANNIVERSARY ASSEMBLY on Friday 25th February in the School Hall.
To celebrate the 150th Anniversary of Rudolf Steiner’s birth the School will be holding a special assembly at which it is hoped that every pupil from class 1 to class 12 will take part. The assembly will begin at 11am and finish sometime after 12. Parents are warmly invited to join us for this special event.

URGENT REQUEST FROM CLASS 8
We are still desperately seeking accommodation for 3 German pupils who will be “exchanging” with our Class 8 between 19th May and 14th June 2011. If you can possibly offer a room and board to one or two pupils during this time, you will be supported by parents of Class 8 and receive £50 a week to help with expenses. This can be a great experience for younger children in your family and would be hugely appreciated by us. So please do consider it. Contact Anne Fleming if you would like to offer a place or request more information on 0131 466 0356 or email annefleming@blueyonder.co.uk.

Community garden family workday, Sunday 27th February 10-4pm
Spring is nearly here and our first family work day of the new growing season at the Royal Edinburgh Community Garden on Myreside Road will be from 10am to 4pm on Sunday 27th February.  No gardening expertise is needed and, as ever, please come along for a little or as long as you want.  We'll be having regular work days on the last Sunday of each month (apart from April) between now and the summer holidays, so put them in your diary now!  If you're planning to come along on the 27th Feb, or you're new to the school and want to find out more, please contact Sonia Theilen on 0131 466 1683 or soniatheilen@doctors.org.uk

Class 10 take the lead on Climate Change
As part of the school's ongoing environmental project 'Being the Change We Want to See,' Class 10 will shortly take part in a series of workshops (17th, 18th and 21st February). Run by Rowanbank, an environmental education organisation, the workshops will take advantage of theatre, storytelling, music, art and innovative games to inspire and empower our pupils to take action and think differently when it comes to climate change. More information about the workshops will be posted on the school website after they have taken place.  For more details about the work of Rowanbank, please visit www.rowanbank.org.uk.
