STATE FUNDING UPDATE- As the school continues to negotiate constructively with the local authority and the Scottish Government about receiving a measure of state funding, there is good news from England. Steiner Academy Hereford (the first state funded Steiner school in the UK) has topped the new league table for GCSE results in Herefordshire. The school achieved the highest percentage results for pupils gaining 5 GCSE passes (or equivalent) among state schools in the county. Indeed, the school was second only to the Hereford Cathedral School, outperforming all the independent schools bar one. This is excellent news, especially considering the fact that the new league tables are regarded as much tougher than the previous ones. Our school has a close relationship with Steiner Academy Hereford. Their first Chair of Governors was selected from among our current Upper School teaching staff. We have sent them a note of congratulation. Alistair Pugh

'Being the change we want to see': improving the school veg garden and eating locallyWe need 5 mins of your time now!
With our project well under way now and many of the energy efficiency improvements completed, we're planning more work for the coming year to extend our project to improve the school vegetable gardens and run seasonal activities and workshops to encourage local, seasonal, climate-friendly eating.  We're submitting another application to the Climate Challenge Fund to help fund this work, and we need just 5 minutes of your time now to complete a survey to help strengthen our application.  If you're reading the Tuesday Notice via email then please click now on: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ersslocalfoodsurvey to do the survey online.  If you're reading a paper copy of the Tuesday Notice, then you should have an extra sheet with the survey on it.  Please complete it and hand it in to the school office.  Thanks very much for your help with this.  School Management.
