PRE-ADVENT ASSEMBLY on Thursday 24th November at 12pm.
Parents are warmly invited to the Pre-advent assembly at 12 O’clock in the Hall on Thursday.
A CHRISTMAS CAROL - This year’s “whole school production” is a new musical version of Charles Dickens’ classic performed by pupils from class 5 – class 12. Come and enjoy this heart-warming show and re-live Scrooge’s wonderful transformation at 7pm on Thursday 8th and Friday 9th December. Donations at the door on exit.
CHRISTMAS MARKET THANKS: the class 4 organisers of the Christmas Market would like to send out many many thanks to the army of helpers whose contributions, large and small, meant this year's market was a huge success. The build-up, market day itself and the tidy up all went incredibly smoothly so we would like to express our deep gratitude to all those of you who worked so hard and who made it so much fun.
CHRISTMAS MARKET SUGGESTIONS - We know many of you are bursting with positive and practical suggestions for how things can be even better next year. Please write these down and put them in the Christmas Market basket in the school office.
CHRISTMAS MARKET ACCOUNTS – The net takings on the day were slightly better than last year, which is a very good result considering the continuing gloom in the general economy. Well done, everyone! I will publish a detailed accounts sheet after Christmas, when I have dealt with any further income and, of course, the numerous expenses that need to be paid. Could everyone please submit your expenses claims before the end of this term (Wednesday
21st December), thank you. Christmas Market expenses claims forms are in the School Office.
I would specifically like to thank again all those who helped me in the counting room. Whether you were collecting money, sorting and counting, or bringing refreshments to keep us going, your help was both essential and very much appreciated. Thank you!
The PTA Spending Group will be meeting before the end of term to discuss and make decisions about applications that we have for funding from the Christmas Market account. If you have an idea for a project or piece of equipment that would benefit the school community, then please submit an application as soon as possible (forms are in the School Office). Ian Oliver, Treasurer, PTA Spending Group.
SCHOOL CALENDARS – If you have missed your chance of buying one at the Christmas Market you can still purchase one from the office @ £8.00 per calendar.
ADVENT GARDEN – Kindy families are warmly invited to celebrate the beginning of Advent at 4pm sharp on Sunday 27th November in the School Hall. Music, singing, candles and a spiral of greenery….. For more info call Caroline Glas on 01620 880 382.
