HAMILTON SCHOOL OF ENGLISH -Edinburgh is looking for caring and responsible host families
Young people from Europe, Russia -- indeed, from all over the world! -- will be visiting Edinburgh this summer, and the Hamilton School of English-Edinburgh is looking for caring and responsible host families to give these international visitors a chance to get to learn a bit about home life in Edinburgh. Although the school keeps them very busy with English tuition and activities for most of the time, when they have no school activities families can open their doors to give them a taste of Scottish life. Families are remunerated generously, and can host 1-4 pupils (twin rooms). Families provide breakfast and a cooked evening meal, but the school provides lunch (so no packed lunches are required). For families whose children are similar ages to the pupils (12-17), there is an invitation to join afternoon sports activities at the school's base, Merchiston Castle School. If you would like to host and you will be at home for 2-4 weeks between 4 July and 14 August, give the Hamilton School a call for more information: Mrs Darling, 440 3301. Persons of all ages with experience of parenting welcome.
