FAREWELL TO MR BRETT - It is with sadness that the College of Teachers would like publicly to acknowledge the departure of Nick Brett as a class teacher and Chair of College. We would like to thank Nick for his many years of dedicated service to the school in so many areas of responsibility. He has been, and will continue to be, an inspiration to colleagues and pupils alike. We are looking forward to building a new relationship with Nick as he takes up a new post at Garvald Home Farm. We are delighted to announce that Philip Shinton will join the Management Group for the next session. He will take over as Chair of College this Thursday (20th May). The Management Group for the new session 2010-2011 will consist of Philip, Helen Newton and Alistair Pugh. We will start at 9:30 am and will finish at 12:30 pm. There will be a short talk about the content and structure of the course and some artistic and practical activities. SWSF-Complaints Procedure: We have received a letter from the Steiner Waldorf Schools Fellowship, the representative body for Steiner schools in the British Isles. In the past, SWSF has acted as a 'last resort' for complaints against schools, after all other avenues of redress have been exhausted. However, SWSF is currently undergoing a review of all schools' complaints procedures and cannot, until further notice, accept and respond to complaints from parents and others against a member school. Clarification of this change can be sought from the school's SWSF representative, Alistair Pugh.

THANK YOU – Dawn and all the children in her kindergarten would like to say a huge warm thank you for taking such time, care and love into our stall on Friday. £86 pounds was raised to buy new equipment including a boy kindy doll.

Please note: The School does not necessarily endorse or warrant the following information relating to activities or articles for sale. All notices for inclusion should be signed and dated and handed into the office, with appropriate payment, before 10.30am the preceding Friday. £2.00 for school ads, £3.00 out with.

CHILD MINDING AND LEARNING SPANISH!
We are two friends with two children: one girl  and  one  boy,  both 8 years  old, living in a beautiful residential  area  in the outskirts of Madrid. This lovely area called  Las Rozas, is situated 20 min from Madrid town centre by train, and 5 minutes by car from Waldorf Main School in Spain: Escuela  Libre Micael.
We are interested in offering accommodation + full board + weekly Spanish lessons during some weeks this summer (from 20th June till end of August) to an English native Student interested in learning Spanish. In return we would ask the student to look after our 2 children and teach them English during the mornings, working hours (9-16.00) ana.marcocapablanca@telefonica.es.
