NOTE: Due to the presentation of Class 8 projects in the hall there will be NO PIZZAS on Thursday 10th February
LUNCH FORMS for next half term are attached and need to be handed back to the office by Friday 12th February.
FAIRYTALE VALENTINE’S CEILIDH on Friday 12th February 7.30pm in the Hall.
Class 12 invites you all to come and enjoy the Fairytale Valentine Ceilidh. Come and dance the night away with your Fairy Prince / Princess and have your love message delivered. There will be live Music for lots of dancing and a Magical Costume contest. Refreshments will be provided.
Tickets for sale on Friday Market or at the door. Adults £5.50 Children £3.50. 50p off when you are dressed up!
CLASS 8 PROJECTS ON VIEW IN THE HALL Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th February
Don’t miss this opportunity to come and see the wonderful project that the Class 8 pupils have put on display.
Public viewing on Wednesday 1.55pm till 3.15pm and 6.30pm till 8.30pm.
KINDY LIBRARY
Books can be borrowed from the kindergarten library, which is open on Tuesday and Thursday lunchtime at 12.40pm (weather permitting). Please come and browse, or borrow books to share with your child. A number of books are still on loan from spring/summer term 2009. We will be distributing reminder cards in the next few weeks but please check if you have library books at home so we can put them back into circulation. Many thanks, Jane & Vicky.
LOST & FOUND – Found outside the school gate box with CDs ‘Anthems Electronic 80s’, set of house keys with pink squidgy key ring, set of house keys on green key ring with Summerfield card found in the Hall after a rehearsal, Swatch male watch with brown leather strap left in the kitchen after Burns’ Night; soft small black leather purse; light green silk girls purse. Collect from the office.
TESCO vouchers for schools. As from Monday 1st of March Tesco will be issuing ‘Tesco for Schools & Clubs’ vouchers. We are happy to receive your vouchers, there will be a box in the office.
Last years’ vouchers ‘bought’ a digital microscope for the biology lab and a digital video camera for the school.

It’s less than three weeks now to this event. Please book your space as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. DON’T just turn up on the day as we cannot guarantee there will be a place for you.

JUMP ON OUR VINTAGE RED BUS TO SCHOOL from PORTOBELLO – LEITH - ABBEYHILL - MEADOWS – BRUNTSFIELD
For the week of March 1st – 5th The Red Bus will be doing a school run every morning with a conductor (70p). Timetable in Tuesday notice the week before, or on www.theredbus.co.uk . All fares going to class 7 fund.

Where 0n Earth is Heaven? A talk with film illustrations by acclaimed documentary film-maker Jonathan Stedall, who introduces themes from his life's journey reflecting the upsurge of interest in spirituality today. As well as working with some of the most thoughtful and original minds of our time, his work included films about R. Steiner's educational and curative work as well as Tolstoy, Gandhi and Jung. YOUNG EDINBURGH WRITERS YEW
The next meeting of the YEW group is this Thursday (11th February) in the Central Library, George IV Bridge, from 4.30pm - 6.30pm. Cost £5 (includes refreshments). For all young folk aged 13 - 18 years who enjoy creative writing and would like to develop their skills (and meet others from the city who also like writing). ‘Crafts for Parents’ is a new course for anyone who would like to make beautiful things for a baby or toddler. Come and learn new creative skills using organic and natural materials. £25 per class, materials included. Classes run from 1pm till 4pm.
