SCHOOL CALENDARS – If you have missed your chance of buying one at the Christmas Market you can still purchase one from the office @ £7.00 per calendar.
 
ROYAL WEDDING BANK HOLIDAY.
Following the announcement that the Royal Wedding will take place on Friday 29th April, and that this will be a bank holiday, the summer term will now commence on Monday 2nd May. Further reminders will be posted nearer the time.

All notices for inclusion should be signed and dated and handed into the office, with appropriate payment, before 10.30am the preceding Friday. £2.00 for school ads, £3.00 out with.
 
FELTING CLASS - Rachel and Saskia (0131 661 2019) are running a felting class to make a scarf. Venue: Beech House, Portobello, 5 pm– 7.30pm, £25 per class including materials and glass of gluhwine.
 
CHRISTMAS TRIP ON THE RED BUS – 2 trips only: Friday 10th & Saturday 11th December at 4pm. See the Christmas lights from our vintage bus, search for Santa Claus and help him on board to give out his presents. Hot punch & biscuits on the castle esplanade. £8/£6. WORLD  AIDS DAY 2010– On Wednesday 1st December it was World’s Aids Day and as I also work for The Red Cross, I will be organising an event on Friday 10th December at lunch time 1pm – 2pm in the Hall. The event is aimed at everyone although in particular the upper school. We will have a red uniform day all of that day where everyone should wear red & human red ribbon, red food and drinks, games and information all about HIV/AIDS.

NEWTON’S CLOTHING ALTERATIONS –Newton’s Alterations will be returning to the Friday Market again starting Friday 3rd September. All types of mending /alterations from woolly pullies to skimpy skirts! You can also talk to me about re-covering cushions, making up curtains or that knitting/crochet project you never got round to! If it is more convenient I can pick up or drop off at your house.
