Full Marks in Art Examinations!

Pupils have been celebrating after scoring the highest marks in the UK in GCSE and AS level Art examinations. Didi Jellema and Sophia Shephard achieved 100% in GCSE Art while Lauren Brett and Stella Phipps received 100% in AS level Art.

 

Penny Reid, Art Teacher, commented: “These fantastic results reflect how Steiner education informs both the written and visual skills of our pupils. Creativity and imagination lies at the heart of the curriculum and is reflected in how our pupils approach their examined subjects, not only in Art but across the board. 

“Many who achieve these high marks don’t continue with Art but they find that, by studying the subject, it furthers their creative thinking which is essential in all subjects including science. There is a clear connection between our high exam marks in science and our artistic curriculum.”
