Main Lesson Receives Accredition!
21 September 2009 in School News
Congratulations to Dr Burgess and the current Class 10 who have become the first in the school to receive an accredited qualification for Main Lesson work.
Dr Burgess's 'Narratives' Main Lesson was inspected and quality reviewed by the Open College Network (OCN) which recommended the course be accepted without amendment. 25 pupils (who were then in Class 9) have been awarded OCN Levels 1 and 2, equivalent to a good pass at GCSE (Grades A-C) with the majority (17 pupils) receiveing a Level 2, equivalent to an A Grade.
Accreditation for other Main Lessons is now being explored by the School. The 'Narratives' Main Lesson will continue to be delivered annually to Class 9.
