END OF YEAR ASSEMBLY will start at 11.45am
Parents are welcome to join us for the ‘End of Year Assembly’ where we will say goodbye to our Class 12.
Please come early for the assembly to start on time.
 
HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL PUPILS, PARENTS AND STAFF
We say goodbye to all our Class 12 pupils and other pupils that are leaving us. We wish them all the very best for the future. Also goodbye to our visiting students from abroad who will be returning home.  We hope they have enjoyed their stay with us.
 
WORKDAYS - PLEASE BOOK LUNCH! If you are coming to the workdays and wanting lunch during the workdays you need to book your lunches by phoning the office on 337 3410 by Friday 26th June. We need to know numbers for each day (including children). IF YOU HAVE NOT BOOKED THERE WILL BE NO LUNCH FOR YOU.
 
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR WORKDAYS! Thursday 2nd Friday 3rd & Saturday 4th July.
There is a great variety of tasks to be done such as painting, sorting out costumes, power hosing the driveway etc. I am particularly interested to hear from parents with joinery skills. Please get in touch with Foppe at school when you can come, or leave a (written) message in my pigeonhole or phone the office on 337 3410.
 
BOARDING FAMILIES NEEDED - There are still 2 German girls wanting to come to our Upper School as visiting students for the autumn term. If you have space and could offer a place in your family to one of these girls please contact Karin Meys in the school office on 0131 337 3410. We need to let them know before 1st July.

All notices for inclusion should be signed and dated and handed into the office, with appropriate payment, before 10.30am the preceding Friday. £2.00 for school ads, £3.00 out with.
 
VOLUNTEER CLOTHING ALTERATIONS
Carine Newton would like to remind everyone that the alteration service will continue throughout the summer despite the school holidays. A pick up and drop off service from your home will be available every Friday. Just call to arrange a time that suits you. If you have any questions or queries please call 07912444594.
 
GARDENER NEEDED to tame garden and maybe come twice or once a month once the big clear out is done. Please call Maureen on 0131 447 7407 in evenings.

ACCOMMODATION Waldorf-family of three from Hamburg, Germany (two adults, one 11-year old girl) are looking for inexpensive accommodation for two nights (28th-30th July).  We will be on our way to Cairngorm National Park where we will be hiking for 8 days.

FREE ROOM AND PAYMENT FOR LIGHT HOUSEWORK - My elderly parents (80s) are at last accepting they need help with cleaning, cooking, and shopping (perhaps a couple of hours per day) and to be there overnight, just in case. They can offer a small bedroom and use of a big living room (Morningside, 10 mins walk from school) with payment for hours worked. PUPILS FARM/GARDEN WORK EXPERIENCE PLACEMENTS - We are Steiner/Waldorf school in the east of France and we are looking for individual work experience placements for our Class 10 students, 16 years old, on farms or market gardens practicing biodynamic or organic farming. The dates are from 12th October to 5th November 2009. The students are supposed to work a normal day and to receive no remuneration but they require food and lodgings. IT WAS A DARK & STORMY NIGHT AT THE EDINBURGH FRINGE - Storyteller and Steiner mum Danya Miller, with her Steiner trained colleague Louise Coigley are thrilled to be coming to the Fringe Festival to retell Janet and Allan Ahlberg's well-loved book ‘It was a Dark and Stormy Night’
This show is suitable for children aged 6 plus and all adults who love a good tale! We will be performing at Scottish Storytelling Centre, (V30) High Street, from 7th – 14th August at 13.00 and at Valvona & Crolla (V67) from 15th – 22nd Aug 10.30am (15, 21, 22 August) and 13.00 (16 – 20 August)
Tickets £7.50/£5 concessions. Do come along and say hello to us – we would be really happy to see you!
