SWINE FLU ADVISE
The school has received advise from the Scottish Council of Independent Schools concerning the current issue of swine flu. In line with other independent schools, we will follow any recommendation from the Director of Education of Edinburgh City Council regarding any planned schools closure.

BIKE SALE – Thank you to all the great helpers, buyers and sellers of our bike sale. We approximately made £80 and are going to use this for our travel group funds (we keep you posted). There are a few “left over” bikes – very good value for money, which we will have for sale on the coming Friday market (15/5). Please come and have a look. Furthermore there was interest for a Leika bike and bike seat, if anyone would like to sell theirs, please get in touch, thank you! Sonia (466 1683).
BOARDING FAMILIES NEEDED for the autumn term 2009. If you are interested in having a foreign student for a term or would like to know more about it, please phone Karin or the Office on 337 3410.

A DAY of FELTING, Monday 18th May. - I am inviting class four children and older round for a morning of needle felting and an afternoon of wet felting from 10am to 3pm.

PORTOBELLO SAILING AND KAYAKING CLUB - Portobello Sailing and Kayaking Club and the RYA’s Sailing in the City’ team are offering children aged between 8 and 14 the opportunity of a half day sailing taster session.
This is a special inaugural event for the club and morning and afternoon sessions are available over 4 days on two weekends: 23/24 May and the 30/31 May. Each course is half a day long and costs £19.95.
No previous sailing experience is necessary and all equipment including buoyancy aids will be provided.
