 Easter Holidays are from Wednesday 25th March 1pm till Thursday 16th April.

There will be no AFTERNOON CARE on Wednesday 25th April.

CLASS 9 presents “FROM PAGE TO STAGE” on Tuesday 24th March at 7.30pm in the Hall. Please come and enjoy this presentation of Scenes from 20th Century Classic Plays by Cass 9. NOT TO BE MISSED!
 
EASTER ASSEMBLY Wednesday 25th March at 11.45pm
Parents are warmly invited to attend the Easter Assembly at 11.40pm. Please come in good time to be seated before the procession of Easter Crosses.

LUNCH NEWS – Class 12 will finish doing lunches on the 1st May 2009. From 4th May Class 11 will provide them. This means that your first order for next term will be for 2 weeks only. The menu will be the same as this term. Please return the order form to your child’s class teacher on the Thursday16th April.
I would like to thank you all for your support over the year. As well as helping with our fundraising for our class trip to Slovenia we have also been able to contribute to Comic Relief and to provide lunches for a child in Africa for one year. Thank you, Anne Jardine.
 
START THE WEEK WITH EURYTHMY – Absolute beginners are as welcome as experienced beginners! Every Monday morning 8.50am – 9.50am parents come together with Erica Muhleisen to wake up and get energised for the week ahead. We look forward to seeing you in the Eurythmy Room Monday morning 8.50am. Victoria and Jo.
 
BACKUP INVIGILATORS – The school needs invigilators to help with the exam programme during May and June. Dates are: 20 May am, 22 May am, 3 June pm, 4 June am, 5 June pm, 10 June am & pm, 12 June am,
17 June am, 19 June am. If you are able to help please phone Mute in the office on 337 3410.
 
JUMBLE SALE coming up on 25th April 10.30am – 1pm
Now is the time to clear out your wardrobes, garden shed, garage or attic. Class 12 will organise the Jumble Sale and your donations are welcome on Friday 24th April. Please support by donation and coming on the day to buy.
 
70th ANNIVERSARY CONCERT
The rehearsal schedule is as follows: (Each rehearsal will take just over an hour).
Tuesday 28th April, 5th, 12th, 19th May at 7.30pm in hall
Friday 22nd May at 7.00pm with conductor Peter Evens Thursday 28th May at 7.00pm with orchestra

EASTER CRAFT STALL Wednesday 25th March from 12.30pm
Please come and visit our wonderful range of unique handmade gifts for Easter. Some of the items are being sold to raise funds for Garvald Home Farm extension.
 
“SWEETENING THE SOUL: A cradle full of harmonies”
Join us for a candle lit evening of Georgian and Scottish lullabies, raising funds for a unique orphanage and a new school in Georgia which use sound healing at their core. Music by traditional Georgian singers. Saturday 4th April 7.30pm – 9.30pm at the Quaker Meeting House, 7 Victoria Terrace. Suggested donation £10 - £15.
Also “A life time of Georgian Harmonies – from the Cradle to the Grave” on Friday 3rd April, 7.30pm at St John’s Church Hall, Princess Street, £7.

 YEW - Young Edinburgh Writers. - The next group of YEW (Young Edinburgh Writers) takes place thisweek on Thursday 26th March, from 4.30pm – 6.30pm in the South Bridge Resource Centre, Infirmary Street, round the corner from Blackwell's book shop on South Bridge, nearly opposite Chambers St.  A great opportunity for young people aged between 13 - 18 years to meet others from across the city who enjoy creative writing. All welcome. Cost £5.00 – includes refreshments. Led by Dorothy Baird.
