LITTER - As part of the ECO-school project class 3 have taken on organising and arranging litter picking. We will also be bringing this problem to your awareness. Class Three are trying to tackle the litter problem. PUT YOUR LITTER IN THE BIN!
 
ECO-SCHOOLS - This half term’s meeting of the Eco-schools Action Group is going to meet on Tuesday 3rd March at 11am in Class 6. Two representatives from each class are invited to come along on behalf of their class and anyone else who is interested from the wider school community is very welcome. The main theme of the meeting will be recycling within the School.
 
THE CHRISTMAS CRAFT GROUP run by Catrina Valentien meets again in Craigneen Craft room on Tuesdays 9am – 10.30am to make items for the Christmas market. All welcome.
 
Talk and discussion on WALDORF STEINER EDUCATION, in the Eurythmy Room on 4th March at 7.30pm. This Talk is for parents with young children.
 
STUDY GROUP FOR PARENTS
The study group for parents and other interested people who want to find out more about the philosophy behind the education, will continue this term. The theme is “An introduction to Anthroposophy and Rudolf Steiner’s insights into the nature of the human being” Newcomers are welcome. As many people find it hard to commit to a series of evenings, this term each session will be self-contained, so please feel free to come to just one of the sessions. The theme will be “.Self development”
The study group is hosted by Christian and Astrid Maclean and will take place on the following:
Monday evenings: March 2 and 16. Time 7.30 – 9 pm. Place 3a Tipperlinn Road, Edinburgh EH10 5ET. For further information please contact Astrid Maclean via the school office or by phone on 447 2005 (evenings).

 YEW - Young Edinburgh Writers. The next group of the Young Edinburgh Writers (YEW) takes place thisweek on Thursday 26th February 2009 (and then Thursday 26th March), from 4.30pm – 6.30pm in the South Bridge Resource Centre, Infirmary Street, round the corner from Blackwell's book shop on South Bridge, nearly opposite Chambers St.  For young people aged between 13 - 18 years. FELT WORKSHOP – Saturday 7th March, Columcille Centre, 2 Newbattle Terrace, 10am – 12.30am Have you ever wanted to learn how to felt?
