SCHOOL LUNCHES
As you are no doubt aware, at the start of the school year the PTA offered to help class 12 prepare a healthy organic two course school lunch. This was to be achieved by parent volunteers helping each morning in the kitchen. The new School Lunch Menu has proven very successful with the children. With most days hot lunches being served for up to 70 children. This level of uptake has presented a problem in the time taken to prepare and organise the food. Therefore, we need more parents to volunteer in the kitchen from Monday to Wednesday to either prepare or help cook the meals. A one to two hour morning commitment will help ensure we continue through the following months. If we have adequate volunteers it should result in each parent only giving up 1 or 2 mornings per month.
Please pass your name and which days you are available to Class 12 Guardian, Anne Jardine, or Michele Goldie 0131 466 6866 or email Michelegoldie@hotmail.com A schedule will then be drawn up for the coming weeks.
If it is not possible to share the workload across enough parents we will jeopardise these popular two course hot lunches. It is in all of our hands.
