A ROSSLYN TREASURY by Peter Snow
This book is a collection of stories behind the carvings in Rosslyn Chapel. Upper School teacher Peter Snow’s interest grew as a result of taking Class 11 students to the Chapel as part of a Parzival main lesson. The book is now available in the shop at £9.99 or from Amazon.
 
SALSA  EVENING – We are delighted to let you know that Walter Dill and his daughters are returning to give dance workshops next week and are also holding a Salsa Party in the School Hall on Friday 13th November from 7pm – 9pm. Admission £5 for adults, £3 for 18 and under. Singles, couples, families and all ages are welcome.
 
BERLIN TRIP FUNDRAISING - Thank you to all who have supported the Friday bric-a-brac stall up to now and to all who “took a chance” at the Tombola at the Halloween Ceilidh. We appreciate your contributions.
The bric-a-brac stall is having a short break and will resume in the first week of December. Events to look out for are the “Berliner Kuchenfest” (a cake stall) after we finish school for Advent Preparation and the Car Boot Sale on Saturday 27th February. Please book your pitch well in advance as spaces are limited.

EXCHANGE WANTED – My name is Balazs, I speak French and Hungarian. I am 16 y old and study in the Waldorf school in Colmar (France). I live near the centre of Colmar and not so far from the mountains of “Vosges” with my mother and twin brother. I play the trumpet, my brother plays the drums. We have a small dog. JOB VACANCY - Full-time Pentland Garden Group Co-worker (Monday to Friday)
The Pentland Garden Group provides individuals with a range of outdoor environmental tasks and social entrepreneurial work including collecting garden waste, processing and selling compost, litter picking, conservation work in the Pentland Hills and organic gardening (our garden consists of vegetable plots, green house, poly-tunnels, lawns and flower beds). We are seeking people with experience in supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or experience in environmental work or (organic/biodynamic) gardening. Duties include organising and leading activities, assisting members with their work and providing care and support. 
Salary for this post is between £15,200 and £16,150 subject to relevant qualification and experience. There are 36 days holiday (fixed dates) per year and after one year’s satisfactory performance the salary rises to £16,500 p.a. plus 6% pension. The starting date is January 2010.
