CLASS 8 play – a Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare
From the class who brought you The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Class 8 are pleased to present: A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare
Come and share the magic and the laughter. As we are a large class, the 8 principle parts are doubled, so one cast will perform for the school at 1.30pm this Wednesday and again at 7pm on Friday; the other will perform on Thursday at 7pm and on Saturday at 2pm. The play is suitable for all ages.
There will be three performances: Thursday 8th Friday 9th May at 7pm & Saturday 10th May at 2pm. The performance lasts about 1 ½ hours and is suitable for anyone who can sit still that long.
There will be refreshments in the interval - bring your 50p. Come and enjoy!
CROSSING PATROL – There will be No lollipop lady to help with the crossings on Monday 12th May.
HEAD LICE – There are cases of head lice found in the lower school. Please check your child’s hair for signs of nits and treat it accordingly.
GREEN SUEDE BOOTS NEEDED FOR CLASS 8 PLAY
We would like to borrow size 9 green suede flat ankle boots for the King of the fairies in the class 8 play in May. Contact Corinna Pugh (costumes) on 447 7850.
CLASS 12 FUNDRAISING CONCERT will be on 16th May at 7.30pm in the School Hall
Class 12 and Upper School pupils invite you to an exciting programme of solo and ensemble pieces, both sung and instrumental, some of which will celebrate past school productions of musicals and operas. Some folk and popular music will also be performed.
Please come and support this worthy cause. Donations will go towards class 12’s fund and a further surprise cause to be announced on the night. There will be refreshments for sale during the evening.
LOST AND FOUND – A digital camera (Samung) was found in class 4 last week. A purple house key with a ball-keyring was found in Woodlands. See Karin in the office.
PTA MEETING on Tuesday 13th May at 8pm
The PTA (Parents, Carers and Teachers Association) will next meet on Tuesday 13th May at 8pm in the Eurythmy Room in Edinholme. Topics we will be discussing, amongst others. Handbook for New Parents, Buddying System! No appointment necessary – free biscuits almost guaranteed, so put the date in your diary now! TREES AND TALES - As part of my final year research programme I am exploring games, storytelling and the outdoor setting. I am running a 6 week storytelling and making, and outdoor play and games session in the school on Tuesday afternoons from 2-3.15 for classes 1-3. Places are limited to 12. Trees and Tales will start on Tuesday 13th May and run till June 17th.
GERMAN CHILDRENS BOOKS WANTED

CAT NEEDS NEW HOME – “Lively”, much loved indoor tom-cat, needs a new home (due to cat-hair allergy). He is 8 years old, neutered, ginger-white, and fluffy.
