“BIKE TO SCHOOL DAY” Wednesday 23rd April 2008.
Tomorrow children all over Scotland will be using their bikes to get to school, as initiated by “Cycling Scotland”. In regards of where we all come from, that obviously is not an option for everybody, but it would be great to see many of you coming in on two wheels. Have fun, The Travelplan Group.
ECLIPSE AND BLOODED, two short plays by class 9 on Friday 25th April at 7.30 in the Hall
The two Class 9 drama groups perform their plays on Friday at 7.30pm in the school hall. These are very modern pieces, dealing with difficult themes that are highly contemporary. Please be aware that these plays are definitely not suited for younger children. age 13 and above. Peter Snow and Lulu Black.
BACKUP INVIGILATORS – The school needs a few more invigilators to help with the exam programme during May and June. If you are able to help please phone Fiona in the office on 337 3410.
‘CREATIVE DISCIPLINE’ Talk for parents and teachers by Ann Druitt on Wednesday 23rd April in the Eurythmy Room at 8pm.
Ann Druitt is an author and teaches at Emerson College in Sussex, organises “lifeways” conferences and is joint General Secretary of the Anthroposophical Society in Great Britain.
CHRISTMAS MARKET RESULTS

GERMAN CHILDRENS BOOKS WANTED
I am looking for German children’s books (either by German authors or in German translation). The books are supposed to supplement the school library. A small amount of money can be paid. Donations are always welcome. Please contact Karin in the office. Thank you, Sabine Kuhangel.

This post involves working with adults with learning disabilities in our Pentland Group carrying out environmental and conservation work both on our site at Torphin and in the wider community. Salary £15,150. After one year’s satisfactory performance the salary rises to £16,160 p.a. plus 5% pension and 36 days holiday (fixed dates) per year. EXCHANGE WANTED - German Boy from Berlin (15 in June) would like 2-3 week holiday exchange this year. I am a doctor and will be returning to Scotland from Germany with my nearly 3-year-old daughter about May. We are looking for a quiet 1 or 2-bedroom place in or around Edinburgh, (up to 20 minutes drive from the south or west). We will be in Edinburgh for a short visit from Tuesday 15th to Sunday 20th.
