MORNING SINGERS - Please join us (Nick Brett) at 8.15 am in the Hall to sing our way to Easter.
OPERA ‘THE MAGIC FLUTE’ - Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd February at 7pm in the Hall.
Come and enjoy this great Opera, performed by pupils and supported by a parent and pupil choir and orchestra. Admission FREE. Donations are much appreciated at the door after the performance. There will be ice cream at the interval, so bring your 50p.
CAR BOOT SALE – Saturday 23rd February
There is less than a week to go to the Car Boot Sale. There are a few spaces left so you really need to book your space and pay your rent now to avoid disappointment.
Car can arrive for entry to the grounds at 8.30am and all must be in place by 9.30am. The gates will open to the public at 10 am. Entry is 50p for adults, children free. Refreshments on sale. The Sale will end at 1pm. Please phone Marcia Burgess on 441 9537 or contact via the School to secure a pitch.
FASHION SHOW Saturday 23rd February 8pm – 9.30pm in the Hall
Vibrant evening showcasing UpperSchool pupils’ talent, with unique one-off pieces and a beautiful array of costumes from our drama department. Upper-School students, parents and friends are all welcome.
All donations will go towards the costume department.

‘BACKPACK FOR AFRICA’ APPEAL – Completed schoolbags for African children must reach me – Caroline upstairs Kindy - before the end of the month. I could fill another 10 bags if you brought me some spoons, soap and sandals/flip flops.
AN EVENING OF ENTERTAINMENT FOR AFRICA Friday 29th Feb at 7.30pm
Tickets now available from Karin in the office or Caroline at Upstairs Kindergarten. Also on Friday Market or on the door. Cost £5.30 – Go on! Treat yourself to a fabulous variety of talent and culture for adults.
BACK-UP INVIGILATORS NEEDED for the forthcoming exams.
The School needs an army of back-up invigilators for the exams coming up in May and June. Fiona would like to hear from anyone who can help. Please contact her in the office on 0131 337 3410.
ACCOMMODATION NEEDED – Gabriela Wolf a Brazilian Class 12 pupil from Coburg, where Class 8 will be in the summer term, would like to spend 3 or 4 days in Edinburgh in mid-May. If anyone would like to offer her accommodation please contact Philip Shinton on 449 3265 or leave a note in the office.

SATURDAY NIGHT DINNER AT GARVALD HOME FARM

We have had family house swap holidays for the last five years and this year would like to visit Edinburgh for around two weeks in August. We live in Aberaeron, a Georgian harbour town 16 miles South of Aberystwyth in the middle of Cardigan Bay, Wales. We can offer a house full of toys, bicycles, body-boards etc. ten minutes' walk from town centre and sea. PTA – Our school’s Parents, Carers and Teachers Association (PTA) meets during the first week of each month. These meetings are open to all parents, carers and teachers of the school, not just committee members- check the Tuesday Notice for dates.
