OPEN DAY Saturday 1st November 10.30am - 1pm.
We would like to invite everyone connected with the School to join prospective parents and pupils on a guided tour of the school. Classrooms will be open, teachers will be available and work will be displayed. Some craft activities will also be laid on for younger children.

Dear Parents. I hope you have had a good half term.
During half term the downstairs pupil toilets have been replaced and upgraded.
The Trustees and the College of Teachers would like to thank parents and teachers for organising this work but would stress the importance of the following:
If damage is done o any property of the school and this goes on to cause further damage (for example, flooding can cause ceilings below to fall) then those responsible will be made liable for all costs incurred. If individuals can not own up then whole groups of pupils will be charged.
This may seem an odd thing to have to bring to your attention but considerable effort and resources have gone into this work and teachers feel a strong reminder is necessary.
With best wishes, Nick Brett, For the College of Teachers

A Celebration of Mothering - Creative Writing Workshop.
Mothering is a journey that none of us can prepare for. It's also an ongoing process of self development, filled on a daily basis with challenges and joys. This writing workshop offers time to explore this journey and honour the many moments that slip by too quickly. All stages of mothering are welcome and it doesn't matter at all if you've not written anything more creative recently than a 'To Do list': do come and join us at the Salisbury Centre on Saturday 15th November from 11am - 4.30pm. Led by Dorothy Baird, poet, mother (of children in the school) and experienced leader of writing workshops. To book a place, contact the Salisbury Centre 2 Salisbury Road, Edinburgh 0131 667 5438 or email: office@salisburycentre.org  For more information contact Dorothy 449 3265.
